Privacy Policy
C&R Web Services' Privacy Policy reflects our
firm commitment to operate with the highest degree of integrity
when dealing with the privacy and security of people who visit
our web sites. The policy governs how we collect, store, and
use visitor information. This policy will continue to evolve
as new technologies and business practices are introduced.
Likewise, this page will be maintained and updated so as to
correctly reflect our privacy policy at any given point in
time.
If after reading this page you have further questions
regarding our privacy and security practices,
please send us a note.
General Security -
C&R Web Services takes every precaution to protect
our users' information. To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data
accuracy, and ensure the appropriate use of information, we have put in
place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to
protect the information we collect online, including encryption
security for credit card submissions. We will continue to employ
all appropriate measures to ensure the security and privacy of any
and all customer information that we collect.
Personal Information -
We recognize that infomation which can be used to
identify a particular person or company ("personally
identifying information") is considered particularly
sensitive. The submission of such information
is always done in a manner such that a customer
provides the information knowingly and willingly
(such as when they request a product or service that
requires registration or billing information).
All reasonable precautions are taken to ensure the secure
transfer of this type of information.
Non-Personal Information -
We also collect and use information which is not
of a personally identifying nature. This information
includes such things as your Internet Protocol ("IP") address
and your domain name. (An IP address is a number that is
automatically assigned to your computer by the ISP computer
through which you access the internet, and a domain name
is simply a human-friendly means of reaching an IP address).
For more, see the section entitled 'IP Addresses and Log Files'.
Forms and Email -
C&R collects and maintains certain information about you
when you send us email or complete any of our online forms.
The information you provide is used to identify you and your business,
and may include such items as your name, email address, job title,
company name and address, phone number, Web site address,
and contact details.
Cookies -
From time to time we place "cookies" in the browser file of
a user's computer. A cookie does not contain permanently
identifying personal information. Cookies are used soley
for the purpose of enhancing a visitor's experience by making
navigation through our sites easier (by maintaining such things
as preferences, shopping cart contents, etc.). Cookies may also
serve to indicate how visitors are using our sites, thereby
enabling us to make improvements based on traffic patterns.
Such use of cookies is fairly standard.
For more general information on cookies, visit
The
Unofficial Cookie FAQ.
For a look at the security considerations
involved with cookies, see the World Wide Web Consortium's Client Side
Security FAQ "Do 'Cookies' Pose Any Security Risks?".
Polls and Surveys -
Occasionally we may ask for information in polls and surveys
to enable us to better meet customer needs. At such times,
we will make very clear why we are collecting the
information and how the information will be used.
These polls and surveys will always be of a voluntary nature.
Mailing Lists -
We may maintain mailing lists of various categories from time
to time. These lists will always be of an "opt-in" nature,
which is to say you as the customer must explicitly ask to be
placed on a list (usually via an online signup form). We hope
you find the information provided in any correspondence useful;
however, the last few lines of these communications will always
contain opt-out information. And as always, should there be any
problem, please email us.
IP Addresses and Log Files -
We log IP addresses and domain names and aggregate them
for system administration and troubleshooting purposes,
using the aggregated information to measure such things as
the number of visits to our site, the average time a visitor
spends on our site, and the number of pages viewed. This
monitoring helps us evaluate how the site is used and allows
us to continuously improve the content we provide.
We do not log IP addresses to track your session, nor do
we link IP addresses to anything personally identifiable.
Credit Card Information -
If you use a credit card to pay for a subscription service
(eg. site hosting), your account will continue to be charged
for the length of the subscription term or until you cancel. If you
supply your credit card information to pay for any other type
of purchase, it will be used one time only, to fulfill one order.
For security reasons, C&R Web Services does not store
credit card information.
Info Sharing -
C&R Web Services does not collect or compile personal information
for distribution to parties outside of C&R, nor do we share any
information about you with any parties outside of the company.
We may, however, disclose personal information to comply with
valid legal processes such as a search warrant, subpoena, or court order,
or to protect our rights and property. We will only disclose information
when we believe in good faith that the law requires it.
We may also share certain limited information with outside agencies,
such as postal or electronic mail delivery services, in the process
of delivering messages and products to you. These agencies adhere
to a policy of not sharing this information in any form with others.
Minors -
Children are not eligible to use any of the services or products
offered on our web site, and we ask that minors not submit any
personal information to us. If you are under 18 years of
age, you may use this service only with the active participation
of a parent or guardian.
