Cats and Dogs are both animals but they are two different species. Primary websites and blogs may both be websites technically but they are used differently.
I am still going to call my main site a website and my blog a blog, period. This comment that they are both websites, is totally stupid and pointless. They should not be used the same way or even perceived the same way.
Hey all of your sites are very informational, can you direct me on how to get the right money making programs, tried many they made money I didnt . Please help
Ok Lisa, I thank you for your sites as well as your youtube channels. I have watched this vid along with a few others a few more times than i will mention. But thanks they r very, very informative and easy to understand (important).

-I want to know what you would recommend when it comes to streaming stuff on a website and/or blog. I am thinking of starting something like a utube thingy where ppl upload vids freely and I wanted to get your input.
-googled n read stuff on hosting, but wut u think?
Great video, just posted it on my fan page for my peeps. Would love to hear you talk about differences between Joomla, wordpress, and tools like SBI. How you would use them and your opinions of each.
would you happen to know why must i verify myself to create a new blog on google blogger…. it wants me to ummm send a text message 2 my phone 2 get some code or sum crap…. but i dunno i contacted google…. i dont have a cell lulz
Rightt: Think about your content. As the internet is changing and their are new platforms such as squidoo and social media, I have read that many people are not visiting websites as much UNLESS you’re on first page of google search. Additionally communities such as at Squidoo dot com have groups of people who are loyal and the company itself helps to promote you. Overtime I think unless you have a fantastic website people will look elsewhere for information:i.e Wiki, Squidoo etc.
Hi Lisa, I understand your POV about blogs but I think that the problem is that not many people know how to use blogs Properly! I mean, people need to FIRST learn how to use the wordpress or their blogging platform. Blogs can be structured just like static websites and in fact, tutorials can be placed on Pages rather than Blog posts which is what WP recommends in their wiki (ran out of space… agrr sorry)
Great Vid Lisa! I haven’t updated my website in months. Why? I got STUCK! I have a big issue on deciding which one I need. I don’t know much on how to generate geniune content. However, if I could upload 2 to 3 photographs (oh, I am a photographer), and comment about the event or photo shoot I did, I might build some real traffic.
I see what you are talking about Lisa. I am going to start working on that with my blog. It is not as easy as I thought it would be, but eventually I will have it organized. Thanks for the insite.
Lisa, sorry, this question isnt relevant to this video but I need to as you: is it true that is one sets up a website but does not touch it, i.e. doesn’t change its content much (or at all) that it becomes far less interesting for google and yahoo etc. and is ranked low etc. Also, if so, what happens if you then suddenly do update it more often, will google notice, and the ranking goes up?
@Hobbitstomper I agree. I noticed a couple of people have commented on this very issue but I didn’t know how else phrase it. Hopefully it’s clear. But you are right, a blog is a kind of website.
I think it’s interesting that people call one thing blog and the static part a website. Everything is a website. A blog is just a website with a news script and comment feature. I know what you mean, and I couldn’t think of a different word myself to describe a “classic website” rather than just “website”. Someone should come up with a new word to describe the good old “classic websites”.
Lisa you rock, a coworker gave me your link suggesting I check you out to get a website started. Stated your tutorials are the best on the web! But I’ve been hip to ya since last year. Keep up the good work!

Have you uploaded any videos about how to do pod casting or webisodes?
I’m interested in creating and writing fictional stories and using pod casting
and/or webisodes to tell my stories.
